Ajay Ghosh is a veteran journalist, media leader, educator, and clinical social worker serving as Publisher and Chief Editor of The Global Net News and Health and Wellness News. With more than three decades of experience across print, digital media, public affairs, and community leadership, he is known for championing ethical journalism, public health awareness, social equity, and environmental responsibility.

Ajay began his journalistic career in the United States in 1999 as a reporter with India Post. Over the years, he held senior editorial and leadership roles including New York Bureau Chief for Indian Reporter and World News and India Tribune, Executive Editor of NRI Today, and Bureau Chief of The Indian Express, North American Edition. From 2005 to 2018, he served as Chief Editor of The Asian Era, a New York-based monthly publication, from its inception.
He was the Founder, Co-Publisher, and Chief Editor of The Universal News Network from its launch in 2014. Later, he launched The Global Net News and Health and Wellness News, two independent online platforms dedicated to informed discourse on current affairs, public health, and human well-being.
The Global Net News emphasizes positivity-oriented journalism, highlighting stories that inspire hope, generate ideas, and encourage meaningful action. The publication seeks to create, disseminate, and use information that serves the global community while amplifying diverse voices. Health and Wellness News shares insights on health trends, healthy living, and holistic well-being, including enduring Indian traditions such as yoga, meditation, and timeless wisdom.

- Appointed Media Consultant for Public Relations for ITServe Alliance in 2023, supporting a network of more than 2,000 technology firms across the country.
- Served as Chief Editor of The Voice Delhi and contributed to several national publications in India before immigrating to the United States in 1997.
- Founding President of the Indo-American Press Club, established in 2014, and continues to serve in leadership capacity through the organization’s board and media initiatives.

In academia, Ajay served as an Adjunct Faculty member at the Fordham University Graduate School of Social Work from 2006 to 2016, teaching social work seminars and mentoring MSW students. He also served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Bridgeport, teaching Psychology and mentoring future professionals in the field.
In the healthcare sector, he worked as a Psychiatric Social Worker at Yale-New Haven Psychiatric Hospital beginning in 2017 and is now a full-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Yale New Haven Hospital. His prior healthcare leadership includes Hartford Health at Home from 2019 to 2022 and Administrator of the Mental Health Clinic at St. Dominic’s Home in the Bronx, New York, from 1999 to 2015.
Extended Biography
Prior to immigrating to the United States in 1997, Ajay served as Chief Editor of The Voice Delhi and contributed to several national publications in India. His academic preparation spans journalism, social work, theology, and the humanities, giving him a distinctive cross-disciplinary perspective that informs his work in publishing, media advocacy, education, and healthcare.
In 2019, Ajay participated in a nearly 200-member expedition to Antarctica, the world’s seventh continent. His professional work has been widely recognized, including the Kerala Center Award for Excellence in Journalism at its 31st Annual Awards Banquet in Long Island, New York, in October 2023, the Excellence in Journalism Award by NAMAM in 2018, and multiple Excellence in Reporting Awards from AAPI.
